About Sokoto State
Sokoto state is a state in northern Nigeria. Sokoto City is the modern-day capital of Sokoto State. As of 2005, the state has an estimated population of more than 4.2 million people.
The state is the seat of the former Sokoto Caliphate, hence it is predominantly Muslim. The seat is an important seat in Islamic affairs in Nigeria. The Sultan of Sokoto is the spiritual and political leader of Muslims both In Sokoto and the whole of Nigeria.

About the Recruitment 2020
The sole aim of this recruitment is to create jobs for youths in Sokoto and hence helping in the reduction of unemployment.
So we are using this platform to inform the public about the ongoing recruitment by the Sokoto state government in 2020
Applicants are advised to visit the official job portal of the Sokoto State Government Recruitment which is sokostate.gov.ng. Applications will be done via this portal.
Recruitment Requirements
Applicants applying for the the Government Recruitment must possess any of the following;
- Five (5) credit grades in WASC/GCE/SSCE including Maths, English and 3 other relevant subjects obtained in one sitting.
- ND, NCE, HND Bachelor’s Degree (BSC) minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division) in any of the science disciplines listed below.
- PLUS:
- Master’s degree (MSC) in any of the under listed Science disciplines.
- NYSC Discharge Certificate.
- Ability to work with basic computer applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- Geographical mobility within and outside Sokotoia.
- Professional qualification/work experience in effective selling and marketing will be an added advantage.
